Gauss results

Thank you for looking over your Gauss contest results. Thanks for participating in the learning experience! We're still waiting on the national average, but the average across the grade 7s that wrote at Temp was 80.1

How the Gauss is scored:

  • Part A (10 questions): Each correct answer is worth 5 points. 
  • Part B (10 questions): Each correct answer is worth 6 points. 
  • Part C (5 questions): Each correct answer is worth 8 points. 
  • Unanswered questions: Each unanswered question is worth 2 points, up to a maximum of 10 points.  There's no penalty for incorrect answers.

Yearbook personal page: Due now

Finish your yearbook personal page asap and hand it in before Thursday, March 8. 


Note: the final yearbook product will be in black and white.


Photo: when inserting your photo into the page, please use any photo of yourself that you have permission to recreate: a selfie, a nice photo your family has taken of you recently, or something from your "schoolpix.com" account that does not have a watermark

Finishing Everything!

 The pressure is on to get everything done before the break. Here is a checklist:


  • LA: green book club folder work, 3 sheets (Pick a Passage, Why novels in verse, Poets Collide): due now

  • Math Quiz next Monday: volume, circumference, area

  • SS: Ancient Worlds Inquiry: present your learning in class this Thursday, March 6

  • Science: Evolution project due March 13

  • Power Play Entrepreneurship: March 12
  • products and selling booth set-up/marketing materials ready to go for the fair next Wed
  • complete and hand in planning booklet before March break: pages 5, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26
